CONNECTING THE RECOVERY COMMUNITY
At the Alano Club, you will find encouragement from a recovery community that shares their experience, strength, and hope.
At the Alano Club, you will find encouragement from a recovery community that shares their experience, strength, and hope.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in building a space where recovery, community, and hope come together—a place we’re calling the Table of Hope.
Imagine a vibrant community kitchen at the Alano Club of Battle Creek, where those in recovery gather with community members, sharing meals, skills, and stories. Here, cooking and 'breaking bread' together become powerful tools for healing, growth, and connection. Our new kitchen will provide a welcoming and safe space where members, families, and volunteers can gather to prepare food, share meals, and bond. This will foster stronger connections within the recovery community and reduce isolation, which is often a challenge for those in recovery.
Our vision for Table of Hope is a warm, welcoming kitchen where recovery is celebrated, camaraderie is nurtured, and everyone has a place at the table. But to bring this vision to life, we need your support.
Our kitchen will be used for events, workshops, and classes which will help constituents develop life skills essential for self-sufficiency.
Through this kitchen project, we aim to provide a stable and inclusive environment that benefits our members' physical, mental, and social health while enhancing community ties and reinforcing our commitment to recovery.
“The opposite of addiction is not just sobriety, it is hope and connection.” - Alicia Barry
The Alano Club of Battle Creek is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives, restoring families, and strengthening the community through substance use disorder and behavioral addiction recovery programs, events, and educational services. We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families to participate in anonymous 12-step programs, which are crucial for long-term recovery from addiction.
